Hello friends! I'm back!!! I just noticed that my last post was like 2 months ago, I can't believe it. I'm soo sorry about that, I just had to take a break from blogging because work was taking almost all my time and energy and Mr. Mojo left for vacations too, so I had 2 long months of looking at my scrapbook desk and feeling uninspired to create something.
My cousin gets married this sunday in California, unfortunately I'm not going to be able to go to her wedding because of work but my dad just left yesterday to California in representation of my family :) because my mom and brother can't make it either, I really hope he takes a lot of pictures! And of course... I wanted to create a card for my cousin and future cousin even though I'm sooo behind on challenges and card trends, etc. but before my "break" from crafting I bought 2 Penny Black stamp sets, I have to blame Kath, Debby and Carole on this because I'm starting to become a Penny Blank fan by looking at their gorgeous cards! Since I don't have any wedding related stamps I used one of my favorite Penny Black stamp, I hope you like it, because oh boy! It took me a lot of time to decide on papers, sketch, embellishments!! I tell ya, I'm soo out of shape on making cards (if you can say it like that lol) and don't even mention scrapbook pages lol! I haven't done any in such a long time and I have a lot of pictures that are screaming to be use lol.

For this card I used s.e.i papers that I got from Michaels, prima flowers, Recollections pearls, Colorbok die cut leave, Fiskars border punch, Pop it! Shapes for the 3D look and ribbon/charm from my stash.

I really like to do 3D looks on cards, it looks soo cute and it's fun! My Fiskars paper trimmer is asking for new replacement blades, but I don't know where to buy them because I heard bad comments on buying replacements blades online because Fiskars makes different kind of blades that you can't know for sure which ones are right for your paper trimmer :( soo I guess I just have to keep using these ones until I have a chance get new ones, but hey! I love the distress look it gives to the cards so I'm not really complaining lol.

Happy Mother's Day!

Hi girls!! How was your weekend? Did you receive lots of gifts, cakes, cookies, chocolates and crafty goodies for mother's day? lol I wasn't able to celebrate my mom yesterday because she went to a retreat with her co-workers to celebrate mother's day and nurse day but next weekend we're going to celebrate her. I'm not really sure what I'm going to give her, maybe a sewing machine (hers stop working a few months a go) or a new cell phone.
Anyways yesterday I had a some free time to create a card for her for mother's day, I was in such a hurry that I forgot to add glitter to the Pixie's wings. I remembered when I was editing the picture lol ohh well I guess I can do that later, after she receives it.

I used the current sketch of Friday Sketchers Challenge, it is a fun sketch made by the wonderful Jacque and guess what? They are celebrating their 2 year anniversary with a fun blog hop! How cool is that! I love blog hops, they are always fun and inspirational :) and you know what? Simon Says Stamp Challenge is celebrating their 1st anniversary! They're having a fun blog hop too.

Anyways, for this card I used one of my favorite CC design Stamps, she's such a cutie and fun to color. I used Prima flowers, Making Memories alphas, pearls from Recollections and ribbon from my stash. I really don't know the brand name of these cute papers because they were given to me by Carol, so thank you Carol!

Hi crafters! How was your weekend? Mine was relaxing, I had time to rest a little bit and spend time with my family :) This is the first time I've inked up this cute little stamp from CC Design stamps, I fell in love with this stamp since the first time I saw it but for some reason I forgot I had, not that I have many stamps lol anyways, I think I'm getting better at making bows, I don't have the bow easy tool but I've been practicing, you know.. practice makes perfect :)

For this card I've used my butterfly punch from Martha Stewart, brads and pearls from Recollections, paper from Autumn Leaves and the sentiment is from Imaginisce and was given to me by the talented Katrina. Thank you Katrina!

I used the last week sketch of Sketch Saturday Challenge, I was too late to enter this card :( but I had fun using this sketch. Anyways, I'd like to enter this card to the following challengeAs:

Sweet Roses

Hi girls! How's life treating you? I've had a crazy week and little time to blog, I definitely miss checking all your blogs but... good news!! I'm finally going to have internet at home!! Yey!! I just have to wait for the cable guy to install the internet and that's it, I'll have internet with no restrictions :) I didn't realize until now how addicted I am to Twitter and Google Reader lol.
Anyways, I did have time this week to create 2 cards, I'm definitely improving right? Well the first card I want to share with you is a card using the cute stamp Edwin with roses, I think this image is soo sweet... I picture Edwin feeling so nervous to give Tilda these beautiful roses, aww it looks like he caught the spring bug by trying to win Tilda's heart lol

I used the current sketch from the Just Magnolia Challenge blog but I was too late to enter :( oh well, I like Mina sketches, they are always fun and easy to make. Thanks Mina for this fun sketch!
For this card I used DCWV paper, Stamping UP! design paper, some glitter for Edwin's wings, my retro flower punch for the red flowers. The flowers, ribbon, charm and bling are from my stash.

Flower Tilda and blog candy alert!

Hi again! Here I am sharing another card I made this morning, it took me a couple of hours to make it because it is actually the first time I've tried to make a folded card, I've seen this kind of cards everywhere in blogland so I wanted to try it out.
Have I mention you how much I love Magnolia stamps?? I do!! The beautiful stamped image was given to me by Linda, she was soo sweet to give me some stamped images awhile ago and I've been trying to be really careful when I color these images because I have no more lol.

I used the Fiskars threading water border punch for the edges, Stamping Up! rub-on sentiment, some flowers and ribbon from my stash, I don't know who makes these papers but they are beautiful, aren't they? For the inside I used the retro flower punch and some pearls for the center of the flowers.

Hello crafters!! How was your weekend? I hope you had enough time to rest and have fun like me. I had a really busy week, so I was really looking forward to this weekend. Last sunday we had to move our clock 1 hour forward so it was really hard for me to wake up in the mornings lol I'm definitely not an early bird person. My fiancee's family came to town for vacations so I spent my free time hanging out with them, I haven't seen them since last summer so I was happy to see them again. I didn't have enough time to craft to craft last week so I squeeze sometime this morning to let my mojo flowing.
I really missed blog hoping last week but I'm afraid I can't do that anymore, even though work is not really busy, the team that monitors the Internet traffic installed a new proxy system and nobody at the office is able to see blogs from Wordpress, Blogspot or Typepad!!! I was feeling soo sad when I found out, two months a go they blocked Twitter (but I survived lol) but now I can't visit your blogs and leave comments, that really sucks! I can still read blogs with Google Reader as always but I cannot leave comments, ohh well I really need to get internet at my house one of these days, but in the meantime I'll squeeze time on weekend to visit everyone. Anyways... enough with the bad news and back to the card I want to share with you today.
I used a new stamp that Katrina gave me, she has a really nice blog, you should go and check it out. I believe this stamp is called Daisy from the Pink Gem Design stamps, I had fun coloring it.

The paper is from Stampin' Up!, the flowers are Prima and I can't remember who makes the pearls, brads and alphas lol. Anyways, I really like how this card turned out.

Hello my friends! How's your week going so far? Mine is going great! Today I'm going to meet two friends for dinner to catch up on things, specially wedding things, one of them is getting married in august so right now all she talks about is her wedding lol I guess I'm going to be the same in a couple of months and the other friend got married last year, so we're probably going to talk about wedding stuff and ask a lot of question to my newly married friend lol she now has experience on dealing with vendors, looking for venues, etc.
Anyways, yesterday I decided to make some time and create a spring card, I've seen a lot of beautiful spring cards in every blog I visit, so it wasn't really hard to get inspired. I'm so glad it is spring! Even though I like winter, I think I enjoy spring more because the weather is nice and I can go outside for a hike.

I used Stampin UP! paper and rub-on, some glitter for Tilda's wings, prima flowers, 3D dots for the dimensional look, ribbon from my stash and some sparkly gems. Maybe you can't see it very well but I doodle the stitching, I should probably draw the stitches bigger next time lol

Hello crafty friends! Today I want to share a birthday card I created yesterday for my boyfriend's best friend. I'm very happy with this card because you know that male cards are really difficult, I got the inspiration from the Sketch and Stash Challenge. The sketch was really easy to follow and the DT did an amazing job by sharing wonderful cards. I decided to use the first clear stamp I ever bought but for some haven't used yet, the stamp is called "Cookies of life" from Inkadinkado and it comes with a fun sentiment that says: "Friends are the chocolate chips in the cookies of life", what a true quote lol.

I used a DCWV design paper, clear stamp "happy birthday" sentiment from Studio G (I love Studio G stamps), some Pop it! shapes for the 3D effect on the furry guy and ribbon from my stash.

Wedding wishes and good news!

Hello blogging friends!! How are you doing?? Well I've been MIA for awhile, between work and other things I had going on it's been really hard to sit down and create a couple of cards. I've been reading my Google Reader but I haven't had the time to leave many comments. Last week was a really busy week for me because I had to work after hours, I even missed my figure skating classes! Can you believe that? Before last week I got really sick, I had fever for about 2 days and I felt terribly... but I'm glad that this is over now, my work schedule came back to normal, I'm no longer sick and I started going to my figure skating classes! Yey!
Last week a friend from work got married, so everyone at work asked me to create a card for him and his new wife.

This is actually the first wedding card I have created, what do you think? I'm sorry for the picture, but my bf took this picture at the weeding before I gave the card to him, so... we were in a hurry lol. I used the new SEI papers I got for $6 dlls at Michael's! I really like to go to Michael's because you always find nice sales.
I really like what the sentiment says, it's really sweet: "Love is the Beauty of the soul". And because Love is the beauty of the soul and it's a beautiful gift God gave to us, I would like to share with you the good news: I'm getting married!!! Yes! You read that right, by God's will we will get married next year!

We're really excited! We've been dating for 3 years but we've known each other for about 5 years now, we became really good friends in college and at our senior year he asked me to be his girlfriend. I've been reading wedding blogs, wedding magazines and wow there are a lot of beautiful things you can do in a wedding, I really want to be organized and have everything done on time, I don't want to become a bridezilla lol

Almost spring!

Mmm well not really but it's getting closer! lol I love winter but this year has been colder than others and I'm starting to miss the sun.Anyways, today I want to share with you a card I made for a friend for valentine's day, I had to do this card very fast because he asked me like a day before valentine's so I decided to go for the clean and simple look.

I've been quite busy last week watching the olympics that I haven't had enough time to craft! I hope I can squeeze time this week because I have a few CC Design stamps I want to use, I actually bought them a while a go but haven't had the chance to ink them up lol
I don't think there's many challenges I can enter this time, since Valentine's is gone and spring challenges are in, but I was lucky to find these challenges:

Hi again! Well this is my second post for today and I'd like to share with you another valentine's card my mom made. Like I mentioned in previous posts, she really likes to keep her cards simple and clean.

I remember helping her with this card because it was kinda hard placing the "Happy Day" letters straight but I think we got it right at the end. What do you think?

She used Making Memories alphas, Fiskars border punch, white/gold ribbon, Bazzill paper and EK Success heart punch. I don't remember the brand name of the gold heart right now, but I think it looks cute.

I'm seriously thinking on starting a blog about figure skating, but I'm still very new to the rules and jugding stuff.

Hi girls!! How was your weekend? Did you enjoy the long weekend to celebrate Valentine's day? I sure did!! We had a fabulous weekend, on saturday my bf and I went to a special dinner the church prepared for all the church member in a delicious restaurant, then on sunday we spent time baking cookies! We've been wanting to do that for a looong time but didn't have the chance, after baking cookies we met my parents and brother at a restaurant for lunch and we went to the rink to have fun while figure skating. Even though it is cold outside it feels nice going to the rink and have fun. I was going to share pics of us baking cookies and skating but I forgot to bring my camera to work, so I can only show you the card I created for him.

At the end I decided to create a cute box (I forgot to take a picture) and a lovely card for him. I think I'll never be tired to say this but... I love Magnolia stamps!! They are soo cute, I only own one Magnolia stamp so I'm really careful when I color the stamped images Linda gave me.

I added a cute sentiment inside of the card which says:

I used what was left of my chatterbox pattern paper (so sad, I need to get more lol), Bazzill paper and flowers, rub-on is from Love Quotes by DCWV, border punch by Fiskars and the stamp sentiment is from Michael's. I also used some glitter for the wings, two red heart gems and one heart brad.

Hi crafters!! How's your valentines preparation going? I haven't really decided what I'll give to my bf, first I thought that a framed layout would be nice, then I thought that a mini album would be nice and then I thought that a heart shaped box filled by marshmallows (his favorite candy) would be nice too! I have to make up my mind fast, because I have only two days and a few hours left.
Anyways, I'd like to share with you a card my mom made for valentine's. She's really into clean and simple cards because they are easy to do and she likes to use flowers and ribbon a lot ( I guess all of us do right?)

Hi girls!! This week is almost over, just two more days and the Winter Olympics will begin! Did I tell you how excited I am? lol Today I have my figure skating class and I'm sure we will be talking about our favorite skaters, what we like about them and who deserves a medal, it is really hard to pick the best skater because there are many talented athletes going to this Olympics!
Anyways, talking about crafting stuff I want to share with you today another valentine's card I made.

For this card I used a Stamping UP! rub-on, Chatterbox pattern paper, bazzill flowers and ribbon. It is a really simple card, but I just love how the paper looks, I just wish I had bought more. I made this card for a friend, you see he likes this girl but he hasn't asked her out yet so maybe this valentine's day he will have the courage to say something with this card! You know... boys, they get really shy and nervous when they like a girl lol

Hi girls!! This is my second post for today and it is actually the first time I've done that! I'm proud of my self Anyways, today I received a big surprise! I'm going to see one of my childhood friends I haven't seen in like 10 years!! That's a long time right? We talked occasionally through letters, mails, messenger and Facebook after she moved to another country when we were in sixth grade, I've known her since we were in kinder garden, so that means that we have a lot to catch up lol
Anyways, I'd like to share with you two more valentines cards. Since reds and whites are the colors we usually see or use on valentine's season, I tried to think outside of the box and I created this card:

I used my bear stamp from Michaels, Fiskars border punch, Stamping UP pattern paper, some ribbon and my new pop-up heart punch from EK Success, at first I didn't like this punch because when I went to Michael's I was looking for the MS lace heart punch but I couldn't find it so I bought this one and after a few "tests" on paper I'm started to like it, I think the heart looks cute, what do you think?

Hi crafters! How was your weekend? Mine was relaxing, I had time to do some laundry, clean around and create a few cards... but you know what? I just can't wait for this week to end! I know it's only tuesday but... I just can't wait! This friday the Winter Olympics start in Vancouver!! I just want to see all the figure skating events and you can be sure that I'll be crossing my fingers so my favorite skaters win a medal lol.
Anyways, I have two cards to share with you today and I'm very pleased on how the pictures came out. My bf taught me how to retouch pictures with Photoshop and wow! What difference!

I really like to make red cards, I don't know why lol but I'm sure loving this valentine's season. I used some Chatterbox and Paper Co papers, my Fiskars border punch, a Bazzill flower, some lace ribbon and a cute lace. The sentiment is from Deja Views.

Hi crafters!! I'm in a really good mood today and you know why? Well because I'm finally making time to craft! Yey! Yesterday I had a terrible headache and I was feeling really tired and sored (for skating too much?? Mmm maybe lol), the headache is gone (thankfully!) but I'm still feeling a little bit sored I just hope that I can stand on my feet this evening at my figure skating class lol. I always say that the best medicine to get rid of headaches is a good laughter, sleeping or crafting! And I got all 3 done yesterday! I'm trying really hard not to stay up late and exercise, I have the exercise part cover because I have figure skating classes on Mondays and Wednesdays but... ohh my! Going to bed early? That's a really hard thing to do lol
Anyways, I want to share with you the card I made yesterday, it is a really clean and simple card.

I got this stamp at Michael's while I was on vacation in Dallas, I think the bear looks really cute holding that heart, don't you think? I used my Fiskars border punch, Basic Grey paper, I distressed a little bit the red Bazzill paper and I added some ribbon. The sentiment is another stamp I got at Michael's, I really like how it looks with the 3-D effect (I used Pop it Shapes from Ranger Industries), I know you can't really see it in this picture :( but it's been raining all day so no sunlight for me to take nice pictures.

And guess what?! I'm really happy to know that I can enter this card to 13 challenges! Well what can I say, it is easy to enter challenges when Valentines is really close LOL

Hearts and Flowers for you!

Hi crafters!! How's your week going so far? Mine is going great! I had a fun weekend because I had a surprise birthday party saturday night at my house, I saw friends I haven't seen since december so it was nice to have time to catch up and have fun. I'm still in shock for all the nice response I had for my candy, I hope to have another one really soon, I just haven't decided when yet lol but I'll let you know.
Anyways, today I want to share with you a card I created using one of the stamped images I won in a blog candy. I really love all the Magnolia stamps, they are soo cute and really fun to color.

And a close up... I really like the images where Tilda has wings, she does look like a cute little angel, doesn't she? I used a Stamping Up! rub-on as the sentiment and some glitter for the wings.

Hello there! How the weather treating you so far? I have to say that I really like winter, I think it's my favorite time of the year for many reasons, for example I get to wear warm clothes, drinking hot chocolate, baking with my mom, Christmas season and many other things. I just wish we could get a little snow and winter would be perfect! lol

How's your year going so far?! Mine is going great! I'm sorry I haven't updated my poor blog lately, but Christmas preparations got me really busy, but ohh well now I'm back to the old routine and updating my blog often is one of my resolutions for this year.
Anyways, I've seen many girls sharing their favorite cards of 2009 on their blogs, I thought that was a good idea so I wanted to join in. Since I started blogging around june last year, I don't have many cards to choose from, so it wasn't hard to pick my favorite card:

Hi crafters!! I'm sorry for my lack of posting but these last days I've been crazy busy at work and other things that I really didn't have any time to craft and anything to post, but I've been visiting blogs and leaving comments so I wasn't completely gone lol.
Anyways, I'd like to share with you a card I created for my dad, yesterday was his bday and we celebrated him in his favorite restaurant. My dad's favorite color is red, so I think he liked his card, you can tell by the smile on his face.

I tried to make this card more masculine so it was kinda hard to not use flowers and ribbons lol I used Stamping Up! papers and sentiment for this card.

Christmas is in one day, are you ready?? I'm half way ready, I just need to create a couple more cards and my grandma's present tonight. I really look forward to go home and spent time with my family this weekend, I haven't had vacations in sooo long!

Hi stampers! How is your week going so far? Mine is going very well! I actually had a fantastic and stressful weekend. Sunday (nov 22nd) was my BF's bday and I organized him a surprise party at a park and... let me tell you that it was a very stressful thing to do because it's hard to surprise him! He says that it's not true but oh my, this time I really needed the help of some friends to organize this party. I was worried about the weather because it was raining two days before, but we had a lot of fun and had a really nice weather. I'd like to share some pics with you of the bday boy...

My bday present for him was an electric acoustic guitar, he was soo surprise and happy that he started to play it instantly lol Oh... and about the second picture, well we have a tradition (it's actually a mexican tradition) that the bday person MUST take a bite of the cake after blowing the candles.

I created a bday card for him and I tried very hard not to make it look "girly" but I couldn't help but use at least one flower lol, he really liked the card and his bday party.

I used some Stamping UP! papers and rub-ons, the ribbon is from my stash and I got this cute flower from Jeanette, thank you so much Jeanette the flowers are soo cute!!

Hi everyone! How's life treating you? Today is a beautiful day here, because finally we're feeling the autumn cool weather, now it's the time to wear sweaters, boots and sleeping in a little bit. Yesterday I finally manage to get some free time and make a card, just in time for a couple of challenges. I just realized that I haven't post any layouts in soo long! I have some nice pictures that I'd like to scrap, but I can't find the time to do one layout. I'm actually working on another project that it's pretty much consuming my time, besides work of course, so I hope that next week I can share it with you.
Anyways, today I want to share with you another Tilda card! I just can't get enough of this cute stamps, they're definitely one of my favorites. I'd like to enter this card to the following challenges:

Well I want to share with you the goodies I received in the mail last week, I finally had a chance to get a nice picture and I'm really happy that I bought my first Magnolia Stamp! When I saw a card Mina created with this stamp at the Just Magnolia Challenge blog I fell in love with it, I just love figure skating and Tilda looks so cute skating with Edwin that I had to buy this stamp. I also got some Basic Grey paper, MS punches, two CC Designs stamps and black memento ink.

Teaching and another xmas card

Hi crafters! How are you doing? I'm doing great! Today I want to share with you another xmas card I finished yesterday, but before I do that I want to show you some funny pictures.
Last tuesday my friend Edgar told me that he wanted me to create a card for him because he wanted to give it to a girl at church this weekend, so I told him to come to my house at night so he can choose the paper and tell me how he wants the card. When he came to my house, he said that he'd like to create the card himself, I thought that was a good idea because I always say that the best gift you can give to someone is what you create with your own hands. Anyways, I showed him my papers and tools and he actually did a very nice card unfortunately I don't have a picture of the final result because he wanted to print a Bible verse inside of the card and he had to do it at his house because my printer is at my BF's house. My BF thought it was funny that Edgar was creating a card because, you know we don't see a lot of male crafters these days so he took a couple of pictures.

Can you see how focus he looks when I was explaining him how to use the cutter?

While Edgar was doing his card I had a chance to start another Christmas card that I would like to enter it to the following challenges:

Also I used my new MS snowflake punch and some ribbon from my stash. Here's a close up of the image, what do you think?

I'm sorry that these pictures don't look good, I had to take them a few minutes a go at my office and I don't have not enough "good" light. Well I have to get back to work, I hope you all have a wonderful day

Xmas is near :)

Hello scrappers!! How's life doing? I'm in such a good mood today, which is weird because I'm don't really like mondays lol you know, mondays mean saying goodbye to weekends, saying goodbye to free time, saying goodbye to sleeping in and getting back to work. Anyways, I'm happy because I received some packages on the mail yesterday!! Yey!! A couple of days ago I won a bid at ebay of 3 Martha Stewart punches at a very good price! I was in a hurry this morning that I forgot to take pics of the new goodies I received but hopefully tomorrow I will have a card to share with you and share the pictures as well.
Since yesterday I was very happy to receive my MS punches I was inspired and I created a Magnolia card, I used a Tilda image that Linda gave me, thank you again Linda! If you have a chance visit her blog she creates beautiful cards everyday. I'm actually entering this card to 4 challenges!

I really love this stamp! I think is perfect for xmas, what do you think? Here's a close up of the image, I added a glitter dust to her wings and the gifts.

I colored this image with prismacolors. I asked my brother (who is an artist) to let me use one of his blending stumps...

I've seen many times how he colors and uses this tool so I had an idea of how to color this image. I think I'm getting better at coloring, because in the past cards I really didn't put much effort on the coloring . I really recommend this tool, it makes your coloring look much better, so if you get a chance to buy this tool, don't think twice!

My first Magnolia Card!

Hi scrappers!! How's your week going so far? Mine is going great! Today is my mom's bday!! And we're going out to celebrate , we are going to take her to her favorite restaurant and then to the mall to buy her a gift. I think moms are very hard to surprise, specially mine! Because she's always suspicious about things lol, so I decided to play it safe this time and instead of giving her a surprise, I'll just go with her to buy the gift. And of course! I made her a card last night with a Magnolia stamped image Linda gave, thank you Linda!! The stamped images are really cute, I can't wait to create more cards with them! So here's the card:

I used a past Midnight Madness sketch that I liked, I tried to distress the paper but I'm not sure how to do that yet, so you can't really see my attempt in this pictures lol but "googling" around I found a perfect tool for this: the Edge Distresser (Heidi Swapp) or the Tim Holtz Paper Distresser! I'm not sure which one is better but you can always go to CraftCritique.com to check what are the best craft products.

Hi scrappers! Are you ready to take a rest this weekend? I am! I really enjoy weekends because I get to go visit my parents and relax a little while and of course I get to craft a little bit with my mom. I hope to get many cards done this weekend, because there are a few challenges I want to enter. I've learn that challenges are a fun way to learn more tips on creating cards. I've been wanting to have time to create a layout of Ruby, but I just can't find the time to do it. Hopefully I can do that this weekend.

Anyways, I want to share with you this card. I'm not really into pink, but I thought that this paper was really cute and the ballerina stamp too so I decided to give it a try and enter this card to Carol's Sketch Fun! I've missed the last two challenges, but I'm on time to make it to this one.

I really like how the sketch turn out even though I had difficulties with the flowers, I wasn't sure if using brads would be a good idea but I think it looks ok. I tried to make it looks 3-dimensional, I'm not an expert in photography but I hope you can see it.

Cute as a bug

Hi scrappers!! I'm finally back, probably you're wondering if I was ever gone lol. Well the last couple of days I've been really busy at work and with other things I had going on that I didn't have time to craft or update my blog. I actually been wanting to show you a card I created last week but I didn't have time to take a picture :( to bad that I already gave it away. Actually I tried to be active by leaving comments on a few blogs and of course I checked my Google Reader so I'm really updated.

Anyways, I'm really looking forward to this weekend because my BF is going to receive his new cell phone (HTC Touch Pro) I can't wait to see it! Hopefully in the following weeks I'm going to get mine too, I really need one because the skating season is starting in exactly two weeks and since at work I can't see videos because of the proxy I really want to have this phone and have Internet as well.

Now talking about crafting... My mom and me worked on a card last weekend and I decided to enter it to the Cupcake Craft Challenges! The challenge is called "Cute as a Bug" so we had to create cards that had butterflies, fireflies, lady bugs, any kind of bug. Since I love butterflies, my mom picked a sketch and the paper and I created this card with a cute purple butterfly.

I really like this paper (DCWV posies glitter print), I really need to get more :) I don't have any butterfly punches so I printed and cut two butterflies, just to give it a 3-dimensional look

Almost Weekend!

Hi Scrappers! I'm sorry that I haven't updated my blog recently but I got sick this week and I was feeling terribly. Today I'm feeling much better! I'm just soo glad is almost weekend because that means I can get some rest and get to scrap a little bit. I gotta tell you that I really enjoyed my Labor Day off :) it was a nice long weekend! I spent time with my mom creating cards and cooking, actually we spend more time cooking and eating than crafting lol! I forgot to take a picture of the card she made (which was her first card) but hopefully I can take a picture this weekend before she gives it away :) I had a chance to go to an ice rink and see figure skating competitions! I was soo happy because I've never seen one before, I went with my bf and met my coach at the rink. Even though I'm in a really basic level I look forward to complete my first axel, single... double doesn't matter :P

Anyways last weekend I created a simple card for a friend's bday, I actually only did it in like an hour because I had to go. So here's the card:

I know the picture is not the greatest but... this is actually the first card I create without a sketch! I'm proud of myself lol!

Hello scrappers! Are you glad is almost weekend? I am! I need some rest, this week has been kinda busy at work so I'm really looking forward to relax a little bit and spent time with my puppy :) since I'm not around the house during the day on work days she gets really lonely, so at night or during the weekends is when I have time to play with her. So let me introduce you to my precious girl Ruby, she's a beagle and she's 5 months old, so she's still a baby, a very stubborn baby :P

My bf takes her to the park every night and she really likes it, she likes to run like crazy with her friends; beagles are very friendly so any dog she meets at the park becomes her friend immediately :)

That is the face she makes after being mischievous; she has a thing for sandals I don't know why, but so far she has destroyed 2 pair of sandals! :s ohh well at least I have a reason to buy new shoes ;)
Since we're talking about babies, I thought I might share with you a card I created this week :) My mom asked me to create a card for her coworker who recently had a baby boy, so I was lucky enough to find this paper from Making Memories (Animal Crackers). I must say that it took me awhile to finally create a pretty bow :P

A Wedding Layout

Hi scrappers!! Well that was a long week of not posting anything! Bad blogger, I know but today I have a layout to share with you, it is actually a gift I will send to a friend that recently got married. I wasn't able to go to her wedding because of work, but I hope she will like this present. I really wanted to do something special for her because I won't see her until next year since she will go to Rumania with her husband as a missionary for a year! I'm really excited for her, Rumania sounds like a really fun and interesting place to go :)

In this layout I had the chance to use for the first time my retro flower punch! I really like it. I followed Debbie's Flower Tutorial, if you have a chance to check out her blog you'll be inspired with all the things she makes, she's very talented.

I had this layout framed so she can take it with her, I think it looks much better with a frame :) What do you think?

My dream scrapbook room

Well here I am making another post for this day and this time I want to share with you my dream scrapbook room :) I currently don't own designated space to scrap since my apartments is really small so I do everything on the table I have between my kitchen and living room lol! I store some goodies in a shelf I bought from Home Depot...

And I store the papers and alphas in this box, I haven't even used some of them...

So wondering around some scrapbook room pictures I fell in love with this studio! This is Wendy Smedley's scrapbook room, she’s the Creative Editor of Simple Scrapbooks Magazine! Isn't it gorgeous? She has everything so organized and neat :)

I really like the room because my favorite color is light blue (actually any shade of blue) and the combination with the white desk and shelfs makes the place look cleaner and organized :) I also like the fact that there's enough light entering into this room, I don't like dark rooms because I feel like I'm in a cave lol

So how about you? How does your scrapbook room look like? Do you have a dream scrapbook room?
I hope that in a few months or years from now I can improve my scrapbook space.

Back to school?

Hi guys! Well I finally had time to create something! Today is the bday of one of my best friend so I decided to create a bday card, even though I won't see her until next week because that's when school starts at my hometown university I thought I would give her a card that welcomes her back to school too.

I decided to use Teacher Anya from The Greeting Farm Stamps, because she's going to be a teacher when she graduates from college. I tried to make the image look like a 3D image, just like the tutorial I mentioned the other day. I'm not sure if you can really see it on this picture but I think it turned out good for being my first time :) what do you think?

For this card I used the current Carol's Sketch at her blog challenge. I really like to create cards because I can create them faster than layouts :)

Hi guys! How was your weekend? Mine was great! I had the chance to go to the "Disney on Ice" show :) and I loved it! I definitely look forward to improve my skating and be able to start doing jumps and many other figures on ice. I really recommend you to go if you like figure skating as much as I do, I'm going to start saving to be able to go to a "Stars on Ice" show in Dallas next year or maybe the Olympics, who knows? That would be a dream come true :D
Well I just wanted to share with you that Steph from Where'd all my money Go? blog is having a super candy, can you believe she's giving away $150 gift certificate?!?! So generous of her. Hi guys! How's your week going so far? Mine is quite busy at work, so you can imagine that I haven't had time to craft :( I'm glad is almost weekend and like I told you the other day I had a chance to go to Michael's and I'm glad I went because I had 2 coupons for 40% off, so I just can't wait to use what I bought!! I finally have my paper trimmer, I'm really happy :D can you imagine I had to cut everything with scissors?? It took hours to create one layout, but hopefully with this tool I'd be able to create layouts or cards faster.
I couldn't get the edge punch I wanted but I got a flower punch instead and hopefully I can add more flower touches to my layouts. After I read Debbie's flower tutorial I've been waiting to get a flower punch for so long.

As you can see in the picture, I got an album and 2 paper packs, yey! I'm paper freak because I'm always looking to buy more and more paper lol I also got a set of stamps and a small ink pad, some alphas and rub ons. I've never used glitter before but I've seen many of you use it and it looks soo gorgeous on cards, so I got a small glitter bottle to try out. I was actually wondering... where do you store all the layouts you create? I have a feeling that I need to put them all in albums so they won't get damage :P it's just a newbie question.

Hi scrappers! How's your mojo today? I hope is great because I just found a blog called Practical Scrappers and they have a challenge every week where they ask you to use a specific embellishment or tool to create a project. The site promotes the use of the supplies we already have and never use!
Their first challenge is: eyelets!!

I cannot participate in this one because I don't have the tool for the eyelets yet :( and I don't know how to use them either :P LOL but I'm sure you do have the tool so head over to their blog, participate and be inspired with what the DT team has created for this challenge!

Hi guys! I've been so busy this past week that I haven't had a chance to take pictures of the goodies I got from Michael's. I hope I can make some time tonight to take pictures, by the way if by any chance you have time to go to Michael's they're having 40% off coupons and a lot of things are on sale! So cool! Of course I took advantage of that last week :)
Anyway, since I don't have anything to share with today I was just wondering what is your dream vacation? I don't have vacations until Xmas, so right now I'm taking advantage of all the days off I can have! LOL
I think my dream vacation is Australia, I don't know why but I've always wanted to go there. Maybe because I've seen a lot of National Geographic videos about that place :P So here I share with you just a pic of the place I want to go from Australia: The Opera House!

Another place I would like to go is Vancouver, Canada. I think Canada is a very beautiful country and I'm hoping I can have a chance to go there one day, hopefully I can go for the Olympics and go to the Figure Skating competitions :P, that would definitely be a dream come true.

Hello scrappers! Yesterday I didn't have time to create something new, so I decided you share with you the gift I gave to my favorite boy last month.

The other day I was browsing through pictures of us from previous year and I found this picture when we went to Cancun, Mexico with some friends to celebrate our graduation. I you haven't had the chance to go, I recommend you to take a chance and go, the beaches there are so beautiful and also the people, everyone is nice to you and there are a lot of activities you can do to have fun. It was definitely one of my best vacations trips I've ever made and I hope I can go again, especially to Cozumel. So I decided to create a layout using this picture and frame it :)

Hello! I'm so excited to share with you guys the card I created for the "Crafty Goings" challenge. I did it yesterday and I can't believe it didn't take a lot of time as the first card. So anyways, here it is:

The girl of the stamp is called Annika from The Greeting Fram stamps collection, it sort of reminds me that it would also be the perfect card for someone that is going back to school :) I used cardstock and making memories paper, I cannot remember from where I got those stickers :P but I hope I can get more of those, hopefully this sunday I'll have a chance to go to Michaels and get some goodies, I'm dying to get some border punches! I've seen many people use them on layouts and cards.

My first challenge

Well finally I have some time to share with you my first card! I'm excited :) lol I finally decided to enter the challenge that the Bee Crafty blog is having. The requirements for this challenge are:

Create any paper item which includes wings (butterfly, bird, fairy, angel, dragon...)

It must have a bit of 'digital' somewhere (image, papers...) and it doesn't have to be a Bee Crafty image.

So here's the card I created...

I printed an image of The Greeting Farm stamps, I believe her name is Fairy Chloe , isn't she cute? I think it turned out good, I use prismacolors to color the image, Making Memories Paperie Collection, a dark green cardstock and vellum paper for the card and a Inkadinkado "Sleep Like a Baby" stamp.

Hi everyone! Recently I've been visiting a lot of blogs that either have chanllenges or their authors participate in challenges. I've been wanting to participate, but I'm not sure if I have enough time to create layouts every day! lol
Anyways, I've seen many beautiful card sketches that I'm tempted to start creating cards too, I don't own a lot of stamps, but I thought that I could start creating a card with printed images. Since I didn't have any idea on how to start, I found a blog that has challenges and tutorials, it's called Just Magnolia. Their Design Team creates beautiful cards!! They have a tutorial on how to create a card step by step, with images on how to color a stamp and make it look like a 3D image. This tutorial was created by Debbie, you can go to her blog to see the beautiful work she does with cards. Here's the card she created in the tutorial:

I've realized that you don't need to have a lot of material, just paper, prismacolors, glue and scalpel or scissors. I'll share with you later the first card I've made following this tutorial.

My first layout

Hi guys! I hope you all had a great weekend resting and enjoying time with the family. For me, I would say that resting was not exactly what I did because yesterday I went to an ice skating rink and skated for about 4 hours!!! I was sooo tired and soo sored at the end, but it was worth it because we had a lot of fun and I'm finally learning how to jump and do crossovers.
Anyways, I wanted to share with you the first layout I ever made. I actually got inspired by looking at the SB.com layouts gallery, many people posts beautiful layouts and cards, it's really inspiring :)

And here's a close up of the details...

I think it turned out very good right? I've seen that there are many techniques used in layouts, like embossing, distressing, stitching, etc. I can't wait to start my own scrapbook room and share my projects with you!

The other day I was browsing through pictures and I saw a picture of my graduation! That was like 2 years a go!! I can just say that time flies by so fast that I'm starting to feel old! LOL Not really, I rather say that I'm more experienced ;)
I printed that picture and created a layout, it was actually a gift for my favorite boy ^^ I'm creating an album with like 24 layouts representing the months we've been together. So here it is, I introduce to you my favorite boy!

The quality of the picture is not the greatest, but I don't have enough light in the room at this moment. I hope you liked it and leave some comments.

Another layout for a Bachelorette party

Hi everyone! This past sunday was the bachelorette party of one of my dearest friends. She's getting married in less than a month! I'm so exciting for her :)
At this moment she's very stress with all the details of the wedding, but it was nice to see her relax and happy last sunday. Every day of last week I was thinking of what to give, but I didn't have any idea or even time to go to a store and get her something, so saturday I was introducing my mom to scrapbooking and she gave me the idea of creating a layout for my friend! By the way, I must say that my mom did very good on her first layout :) We had a lot of fun!
Anyways, here's the layout I made for my friend.

Introducing myself :)

Hi guys! I've been trying to publish a picture of me for my profile, but for some reason I haven't been able until now... so I thought that a great way to introduce myself is with a layout :) yey!
As I shared with you last saturday night the sketches I had in mind, so I decided to use the first Beggahuna's sketch with a little change...

I used a ink to paint the chipboard swirl and making memories papers for the layout. I'm not sure what brand are the flowers, since they came in a kit I bought from a friend in FM forums. I'll fell in love with this flowers that I think I'm gonna get some more :) because I don't have a lot of material yet. Here's a close up of the flowers and chipboard.

Hi guys! Well looking around in my favorite blogs I found another great resource for sketches and that is Beggahuna's Blog, her sketches are very beautiful and creative :) I really like her sketches because she uses lots of embellishments, specially flowers.
I'm planning to create another layout using one of her sketches, yey!! Time to scrap, the only problem I have at the moment is that I'm running out of ink :( and I don't have enough photos, but anyways I'm still deciding what sketch to use... which one do you think is cuter?

Hi guys! Well I'm finally managing my time to start posting my work here. I haven't had a day off since February, so today because of the 4th of July I will have plenty of time to organize my scrapbook stuff and post some layouts I've made. Happy Independence Day by the way :)
Well today I want to share with you a few blogs I've seen that had helped me get inspiration when creating new layouts. First is the Prima Marketing blog. They have this "Prima Build-A-Page sketches" section where they post new sketches and they DT creates layouts. They have really creative sketches!!
I have found another blog that is also my inspiration :) Anam's Blog, her blog is amazing because she shares with everyone the new sketches she creates. So I took one of her sketches and created a layout.
